This has been a weekend of Good News Stories in the world of What Kate Baked.
Firstly, there is going to be a Celebrity version of The Great British Bake Off ('tis true! It is like Christmas, half-priced butter in the local supermarket and a new cookbook from Nigella all rolled into one!).
Secondly, Wales performed magnificently against Fiji to secure their place in the Rugby World Cup Quarter-Finals. Bring. On. Ireland.
And thirdly, I was super chuffed to discover that I have been shortlisted for the Wales Blog Awards! I'm well excited - there were some excellent blogs longlisted in the Food and Drink category, not least the other two brilliant blogs shortlisted, Cardiff Bites and Pint of 45. The Awards ceremony is on the 27th October in Cardiff.
All weekend I have been celebrating, naturally, with cake.
(PS: Dear lovely reader,
There is actually a 'People's Choice Award' that all the shortlisted blogs are entered into. Should you fancy slinging a vote or two my way, well, I'd be ever, ever so appreciative and can send cake your way as a thank-you-very-very-very-very-very-very-very-much
From a chock-full-of-glorious-cake Kate xx)
